A couple of months back we reported that cotton pricing rose to all time high levels. The quick update on this is that cotton pricing has continued its historic rise and is not expected to come back down to "normal" levels in the foreseeable future. The graph shows the historic price of cotton and the spike is very evident.
The increase in the cost of cotton is affects a number of promotional products, but the hardest hit are t-shirts. Not all products have risen in price so far but a large number have. So do not be surprised if the pricing for the same apparel is higher in 2011.
